Artist Bio.
David Hannes
I am a fine artist that works in oil, acrylic, watercolors, charcoal, pastels, conte, pen and ink and graphite.
I earned my MFA from the School of Visual Arts in 2002 in computer arts and my BFA in Fine Arts from Arizona State University.
I was born in New York, raised in Westport CT where I studied under master artist Frank Covino, Roe Halper, Jim Wheeler and Neil Bittner. After attending ASU in the 90’s, I spent a brief time in Los Angeles before moving to New York to pursue my Masters at SVA. After spending several years in NY I returned to the valley of sun in AZ where I live today in Scottsdale, Arizona.
In the past I have created primarily works within surrealism, portrait art, landscapes and life drawings but am presently focused onĀ abstract art.
When I am not painting, I run a multimedia web design, internet marketing and video editing company. I am also an aspiring screenwriter on the side.
